Springfield College to Celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day Feb. 18

Springfield, Mass. – January 13, 2017 – Springfield College is excited to host National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Saturday, Feb.18. On that day, girls in grades K through 6 are invited to attend clinics at Springfield College where they will participate in several sports and activities. The clinics, which are free of charge, will be held in campus facilities.

"We are excited to host National Girls and Women in Sport again this year," said Kiki Jacobs, associate director of athletics at Springfield College.  "We look forward to celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of girls and women in sport.  It is a great opportunity for our student-athletes to engage with the young girls in our community and to show they how athletics can make a difference in their lives."

  • 8:30-9:00 a.m. – Registration in the Physical Education Complex (Blake Arena) lobby
  • 9:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. – Clinics and Activities in the Springfield College Field House
  • 11:45 a.m. – Pick up in Physical Education Complex (Blake Arena) lobby
