Norfolk, Va. - June 26, 2018 - Honored for their hard work both in the classroom and in the pool, the Springfield College men's and women's swimming and diving programs earned Collegiate Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America team honors, announced last week.
A total of 710 teams earned Scholar All-America Team honors, representing 476 institutions across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions. The CSCAA recognizes teams for achieving a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
The Springfield College women's swimming and diving team, which produced a blistering cumulative grade-point average of 3.53 in the spring semester, was tied for 10th overall among Division III institutions in New England, and had fourth highest grade-point average among teams that compete in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).
On the men's side, the Pride produced a cumulative grade-point average of 3.03 in the spring semester, coming in at No. 17 among Division III teams from the New England region. Of teams that were recognized and compete in the NEWMAC, Springfield College was sixth overall.
