  • Men's Basketball Earns NABC Team Academic Excellence Honor; Four Earn Individual Recognition

    Kansas City, Mo. - July 18, 2019 - The Springfield College men's basketball team was recognized with the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award, created by the NABC Committee on Academics. This award recognizes outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2018-19 season.

  • Springfield College's Sports Communications Staff Recognized With AVCA Media Honor

    Springfield, Mass. - July 8, 2019 - The Springfield College Sports Communications Office was recently recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) for its successful efforts in the advancement and promotion of the sport of volleyball. The College earned a NCAA Division III Sports Information Director Men's Conference Honor during the announcement of the annual AVCA Grant Burger Media Award.

    Springfield, Mass. – June 12, 2019 – Springfield College Athletics finished 38th nationally in the final overall standings of the 2018-2019 Division III Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup. Springfield's finish marked the 11th time in the last 12 years that the Pride finished ranked in the top 40 and in the top 10% of the 450 Division III athletic programs in the country.

    Springfield, Mass. - June 10, 2019 - Springfield College's Brandon Drabinski (Lisbon, Conn.) attended the NCAA Career in Sports Forum, an annual educational forum hosted by the NCAA in Indianapolis.  Drabinski was among the 200 student-athletes who were brought to the NCAA national office to learn and explore potential careers in sports, with the primary focus on college athletics.
  • 12 Football Student-Athletes Named To NFF Hampshire Honor Society

  • Hitchcock Places Fifth in Women's High Jump at NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships; Earns All-America Honors

    Geneva, Ohio - May 24, 2019 - Sophomore Caroline Hitchock (Agawam, Mass.) represented the Springfield College women's track and field team at the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, competing in the women's high jump on Friday at the SPIRE Institute. Clearing a height of 1.70 meters, Hitchcock finished fifth overall and earned the first All-America honors of her young career.

    Springfield, Mass. - May 23, 2019 - The Springfield College men's lacrosse program will be well represented at the 2019 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Senior All-Star Game, which will take place on Friday May 24, 2019 on Tierney Field at the US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md..  The Division III game will kick things off at 5:00 pm, followed by the Division I/II contest at 7:30 pm. Admission is free and Lax Sports Network will stream both contests.
