  • Women's Soccer Claims Second-Straight ECAC Division III Championship Over NYU

    Springfield, Mass. - November 19, 2017 - For the second-consecutive season, the Springfield College women's soccer team and NYU met in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championship, and for the second-consecutive season the contest went into a decisive penalty-kick shootout, as the Pride defeated the Violets, 3-0, to claim its second ECAC title in as many years on Sunday afternoon at Brock-Affleck Field.
  • Women's Basketball Falls to No. 3 Amherst, 69-36

    Amherst, Mass. - November 19, 2017 - After defeating Farmingdale State on Saturday night, the Springfield College women's basketball team returned to the hardwood on Sunday afternoon, as the Pride fell to nationally-ranked Amherst College, 69-36, in the championship game of the Amherst College Tip Off Tournament in LeFrak Gymnasium. For their efforts sophomore guard Emily Jacques (Auburn, Maine) and senior forward Heather King (Lebanon, N.H.) were named to the All-Tournament team.

    Amherst, Mass. - November 18, 2017 - Sophomore guard Alex Goslin (South Windsor, Conn.) drained a lay-up with 10 seconds to go to give Springfield College a 59-57 lead, before Heather King (Lebanon, N.H.) sealed the 60-58 win with a free-throw, as the Springfield College women's basketball team defeated Farmingdale State in the Amherst College Tip Off Tournament, hosted in LeFrak Gymnasium on the campus of Amherst College.

Coming into Friday night's meet, Williams was ranked No. 3 in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division III National Rankings.
