  • Baseball Closes Out Spring Break With 8-5 Triumph Over New Paltz

    Auburndale, Fla. - March 18, 2018 - The Springfield College baseball team finished off its annual Spring Break trip in Florida with an 8-5 triumph over New Paltz, scoring five of its eight runs in the final two innings. With the win, Springfield College improves to 8-3-1 on the year, while it posted a record of 7-2 in the sunshine state. With the loss, New Paltz is now 4-4.
  • Baseball Splits Doubleheader with Farmingdale State in Florida

    Auburndale, Fla. - March 16, 2018 - Playing an early doubleheader on Friday morning, the Springfield College baseball team split with Farmingdale State behind some impressive pitching performances from Brian Johnson (East Haddam, Conn.) and Shawn Babineau (Ashland, Mass.) to improve to 7-3-1 overall and 6-2 on their Spring Break. Playing their first two games down in Florida, Farmingdale State is now 3-1 on the year.
  • Baseball Cruises Past Cazenovia, 11-0, to Earn Fifth Win on Spring Break

    Auburndale, Fla. - March 15, 2018 - The Springfield College baseball team picked up its fifth win on Spring Break on Thursday afternoon, as the Pride defeated Cazenovia, 11-0, at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex. With the win, the Pride is now 5-1 in Florida and 6-2-1 overall, while the Wildcats fall to 2-5 on the year.
  • Naples Throws Gem in Baseball's Shutout Victory Over Eastern Connecticut, 3-0

    Auburndale, Fla. - March 14, 2018 - Behind an outstanding pitching performance from senior Kyle Naples 9Kensington, Conn.), the Springfield College baseball team earned a 3-0 win over Eastern Connecticut on Wednesday afternoon at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex. This marks the fourth win for the Pride in Florida, as the maroon and white is now 5-2-1 overall. The loss drops Eastern Connecticut to 2-2 on the year.

    Lakeland, Fla. - March 13, 2018 - Behind an impressive offensive performance from Mark Joao (Wappinger Falls, N.Y.) and a great pitching effort from Nick Naples (Berlin, Conn.), the Springfield College baseball team picked up its third win in Florida, racing past Gordon, 14-1.
  • Baseball Battles Back to Defeat Stockton, 13-11

    Auburdale, Fla. - March 12, 2018 - The Springfield College baseball team battled back from an eight-run deficit to defeat Stockton, 13-11, on Monday night at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex. Monday's game marked the third of nine games that the Pride will play in Florida as part of the RussMat Invitational.
  • Baseball and UMass Dartmouth Split Doubleheader To Begin Florida Trip

    Auburndale, Fla. - March 11, 2018 - The Springfield College baseball team opeend up their annual spring break trip to Florida by splitting a doubleheader with UMass Dartmouth on Sunday.  The Pride picked up a 3-1 win in the opener before falling 3-2 in the second contest as Springfield evened its record to 2-2-1 on the year.

    Springfield, Mass. - March 5, 2018 - Junior Brandon Drabinski (Lisbon, Conn.) registered a pair of RBI but the Springfield College baseball team fell to Westfield State, 4-2, on Monday afternoon at Archie Allen Field. With the loss, the Pride is now 1-1 on the year, while the Owls pick up their first win of the season and improve to 1-2.

  • Allen '37 To Be Inducted Into Western Massachusetts Baseball Hall of Fame

    Springfield, Mass. - January 8, 2017 - Legendary Springfield College baseball coach, Archie Allen '37, will be inducted into the Western Massachusetts Baseball Hall of Fame on February 1, 2017. Allen is one of seven individuals that will be inducted as part of the 2018 class, as he will be joined by local legends such as Chris Capuano, who won 77 games as a pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB), Dan Duquette, general manager of the Baltimore Orioles, and the late MLB Commissioner, Bart Giamatti.

    Springfield, Mass. - October 19, 2017 - Innovation and a dedication to improving the lives of others were at the base of a partnership between Springfield College and the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation that led to the creation of a one-of-a-kind intercollegiate and adaptive baseball field. Referred to as the “Springfield Model” by the foundation, the new field, located on the Springfield College campus, was unveiled on Thursday, Oct. 19.

The pitching clinic on October 15th and the hitting clinic on October 22nd are offered to provide prospective players the opportunity to experience a day of skill development and training under the watchful eye of the Springfield College Baseball coaching staff.

    Springfield, Mass. - August 16, 2017 - Springfield College's one-of-a-kind intercollegiate and adaptive baseball park is nearing completion after a busy summer of construction at Berry-Allen Field. In conjunction with the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, Springfield College is currently in the midst of a first-of-its-kind project which will incorporate a new adaptive field within a new traditional field where Springfield College will play its intercollegiate baseball contests.
