Springfield, Mass. – November 3, 2016 - Springfield College senior Cody Brown (Voluntown, Conn.) was been named CoSIDA Academic All-District I as voted upon by the College Sports Information Directors of America for Division III football.
A captain and member of the offensive line, Brown has recorded a 3.71 GPA to date while concentrating on his major of Physical Therapy.
In order to qualify for CoSIDA All-Academic status, one must be an upper classman and have a GPA of 3.30 or above. Brown is part of an offensive line that has helped Springfield College own the fifth-best rushing offense in Division III football, which is averaging 303 yards per game.
Springfield owns a 4-4 record with two games remaining in the regular season. The Pride will host RPI this Saturday at 12:00 before closing out the regular season at Merchant on Nov. 12th.
