The Pride opened the day's scoring when Sweet took a pass from Copponi and found the back of the net to make it 1-0, before the Warriors pulled even when Alex Kallgren (Dudley, Mass.) gained control of a loose ball in front of Springfield's net, before turning and drilling a shot into the right side to make it 1-1.

The Pride finished its first-half scoring when Laperle sent one into the crease area to Kennedy, who touched a pass to Copponi for an easy finish, making it 5-1 with 1:48 left in the period.
