Chandler, Ariz. - October 26, 2017 - Springfield College's Maggie Kennedy (Clay, N.Y.) of the field hockey program was honored for her impressive play last week, as she was named to the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) and Synapse Sports Division III Honorable Mention National Player of the Week list, released on Wednesday evening.

Kennedy, a senior forward and Physical Education major at Springfield College, has also been recognized as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week and the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Field Hockey Division III North Offensive Player of the Week.

Kennedy, a senior forward and Physical Education major at Springfield College, led the Pride to three wins, including its 11th of the year, marking the most wins the program has seen since Springfield College claimed 12 victories in 2009. The senior forward notched a pair in a 4-2 win over Clark, before posting two goals and an assist in a 7-1 result with Johnson & Wales.
