Gilbert, Ariz. - November 2, 2017 - Springfield College field hockey standout Maggie Kennedy (Clay, N.Y.) was one of 60 student-athletes from across the country selected to participate in the 2017 Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Senior Game. The contest will be held on Nov. 18 at 5 p.m. at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Ky.
The senior game will take place as part of the NCAA Division III Championship weekend, with the national semifinals occurring on November 17 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Bellarmine. The NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship will be held on November 19 at 5 p.m. at the University of Louisville.

The 60 participants were initially chosen for the game, with 12 alternates also named in case a student-athlete who was selected as a participant in unable to compete in the Senior Game.
In her four years as a member of the Pride, Kennedy amassed over 130 points and drove home 55 goals, 14 of which were game winners. This past year, her senior year, has been one to remember as she has recorded 58 points on 25 goals and eight assists and was also the fifth student-athlete in Springfield College field hockey program history to accumulate 100 career points. On Tuesday night, the senior scored all three of the Pride's goals and propelled them to the NEWMAC Championship Semifinals for the first time since 2012.
Kennedy has been a three-time NEWMAC All-Conference recipient, landing on the First Team in 2015 and Second Team in 2016. Additionally, Kennedy also became the second sophomore in the history of the Springfield College field hockey program to earn NFHCA First Team All-Region honors in 2015.
Kennedy and the Pride will return to action on Saturday, November 4 when it will take on top-seeded Babson College in the NEWMAC Championship Semifinals. The game is set to start at 11 p.m. in Babson Park, Mass.
