Ross Snags Fourth-Straight ECAC New England Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week Honor

Danbury, Conn. - February 14, 2017 - For the fourth-consecutive week, Springfield College's Jake Ross (Northampton, Mass.) was tabbed the  Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week.

Ross had another standout week for the Pride as the leading scorer in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) averaged 22.5 points per game to go along with 8.5 boards and 4.0 assists per game.  This marks the sixth time this season that Ross has been chosen as the top rookie in the ECAC.

The first-year registered 25 points, seven rebounds and five assists in a setback to Babson, the nation's top-ranked team, before tallying his 10th double-double of the season in a 20-point win over Emerson after notching 20 points, 10 rebounds and three helpers.  

Springfield will play its final home game of the 2016-17 regular season when it hosts Clark at 7:30 pm on Wednesday night in Blake Arena.
