Danbury, Conn. - March 27, 2019 - The postseason honors continued for Springfield College's Jake Ross (Northampton, Mass.) as he was chosen as a member of the 2019 Division III Men's Basketball All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Team.
Ross was one of seven student-athletes from throughout the region to be chosen to the first team, and one of 21 to earn the regional recognition. Ross has earned multiple postseason honors this year, including being selected to the D3hoops.com All-America, D3hoops.com All-Region, NABC All-Region, and NEWMAC All-Conference teams.
In 23 games this year, Ross averaged 23.8 points per contest, shot 44% from the field, connecting on 183-of-418 field goal attempts, and was especially efficient from the charity stripe, knocking down 88% of his attempts, going 137-for-155. He also pulled in 303 rebounds, handed out 92 assists, and totaled 39 steals. Ross finished the year ranked 14th nationally in points per game and is 27th in free throw percentage, as he scored at least 30 points in six games this season.
Through three seasons with the Pride, Ross has scored 1,906 points, which ranks third most in program history, and has also registered 736 rebounds, 305 assists, and 157 steals. He will enter his senior campaign as the active Division III career leader in points scored and ranks second in all of college basketball in career scoring average among active players with 23.8 points per game.
