DID YOU KNOW? After a successful 1935-36 season, Springfield College was selected to participate in the New England Section Tournament, which was a qualifying game for the Olympics Trials. Springfield College defeated Providence College (33-24) at Harvard University in Cambridge. Springfield College, however, lost to St. Francis College of New York (36-44) in the preliminary Olympics Trials at Madison Square Garden. Springfield College finished the season with a 17-4 record under coach Edward Hickox.
