Golf Lands Seven on NECC All-Academic Team

Springfield, Mass. - June 6, 2019 - For the second-consecutive year, Springfield College had seven student-athletes from the golf team named to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Fall Academic All-Conference team. 

In order to be eligible for the NECC Academic All-Conference, a student athlete must post a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a scale of 4.00 and must be a sophomore or higher in class standings.

Trevor Kelly (Belmont, Mass.), Ryan Leboeuf (Dracut, Mass.), Joe Piwowarski (Cumberland, Maine), Jake Raichle (Bethlehem, N.H.), Doug Shane (Hamden, Conn.), Mike Strong (Newington, Conn.), and Liam Whitman (Westfield, Mass.) were honored for the success in the classroom as the Pride had the most honorees of any golf program in the conference.
