Three Springfield College Men's Gymnasts Compete On International Soil

Springfield, Mass. - September 8, 2017 - Springfield College had three members of its men's gymnastics program compete in international competition this summer as Stephen Lewis (Baltimore, Md.), Chris Graff (Old Bridge, N.J.), and Joe Medina (Beaver Dams, N.Y.) went up against some of the top talent in the world.

Lewis, who is entering his sophomore year at Springfield, was selected for the Jamaican National Team and will be representing Jamaica at The Gymnastics World Championships, which will be held in Montreal on October 2-8.   Last season, Lewis was named the ECAC Men's Gymnastics Rookie of the Year.

Graff also earned the distinct honor of landing a spot on the Colombian National Team as he competed in August.  The Health Science major qualified for finals on three events, and despite scoring a 13.4 on the pommel horse, a 13.65 on the floor, and a 14.1 on the vault, was not selected to go to the world championships.

Medina, a Health Science major, competed in the Puerto Rico Championships and finished second in the all-around competition.
