Dieker Impresses at Winter Cup Challenge

Las Vegas, Nev. - February 15, 2018 - Springfield College's Joshua Dieker (Oveida, Fla.) competed in the 2018 Winter Cup Challenge at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort on Thursday night against some of the best talent in the world.  

2016 Olympians Sam Mikulak and Alex Naddour, along with reigning U.S. champion and World bronze medalist Yul Moldauer competed alongside Dieker, as the senior rotated with student-athletes from Ohio State and Cal-Berkeley.

Dieker finished the night session in 28th in the all-around competition, totaling a score of 71.600.  The Recreation Management major's best score of the evening came on the vault, as he produced a 13.400, while he tallied a 12.600 on the floor exercise and a 12.300 on the parallel bars.  The senior also scored a 12.050 on the rings, an 11.700 on the horizontal bar, and a 9.500 on the pommel horse.   Among the 46 athletes in the competition, Dieker's mark on the vault was the 25th best score of the evening.
