Danbury, Conn. - March 5, 2019 - Springfield College's Stephen Lewis (Baltimore, Md.) garnered his fourth Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Men's Gymnast of the Week recognition this year after his standout showing against Navy last Sunday.
In was an impressive meet for the Computer Graphics and Design major, as he posted the Pride's top score in four of its six events on Sunday. In addition to once again winning the all-around with a 79.250, Lewis scored a 13.700 for the second-straight week on the floor exercise to finish as the runner-up in the event, posted a 13.400 on the rings to take second, hit for a 14.100 on the vault, which was the second-highest score in the competition, and tied for second on the pommel horse with a 13.200. The junior also scored a 12.550 on the parallel bars and a 12.300 on the horizontal bar.
Next Saturday, Springfield will travel to Army for a 1 pm meeting.
