Boston, Mass. - March 20, 2017 - Springfield College junior Jake Reynolds (Scituate, Mass.) was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Earning the honor for the second-straight week and third time this season, Reynolds continued his standout junior season between the pipes for the Springfield College men's lacrosse team.

In a midweek game versus Cortland in Virginia Beach, Reynolds totaled 11 saves in holding the 13th-ranked Red Dragons to their lowest offensive output of the season as they bested the Pride with the game-winning goal in the final 10 seconds. On Saturday, Reynolds tied his career high with 21 saves in leading the Pride to an 11-6 win at Endicott.
