Hawley and Finerty Recognized On USILA National Team of the Week

Men's Lacrosse

Springfield, Mass. - February 26, 2019 - After guiding the Springfield College men's lacrosse team to a win against Nazareth last Saturday to kick off the 2019 campaign, Cole Finerty (Kensington, N.H.) and Joe Hawley (Poulsbo, Wash.) were chosen to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III National Team of the Week.

Springfield, Mass. - February 25, 2019 - After leading the Springfield College men's lacrosse team to a season-opening win over Nazareth last Saturday, Cole Finerty (Kensington, N.H.) and Joe Hawley (Poulsbo, Wash.) were recognized by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). 

Men's Lacrosse Set to Host Prospect Clinic on September 23

Springfield, Mass. - September 17, 2017 - The Springfield College men's lacrosse team is set to host a prospect clinic on Sunday, September 23 for high school-aged male lacrosse players. The clinic will begin at 8 a.m. and will run until approximately 3 p.m. 

Reynolds Selected as USILA Scholar All-America Recipient

Springfield, Mass. - June 21, 2018 - Springfield College's Jake Reynolds (Scituate, Mass.) was recognized with United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-America honors after a standout 2018 season on the field and in the classroom.

Springfield College Mourns the Passing of Honorary Men's Lacrosse Teammate Alex Blais

Springfield, Mass. - June 13, 2018 - With heavy hearts, Springfield College mourns the passing of Alex Blais, an honorary teammate of the men's lacrosse program that was partnered with the Pride via Team IMPACT. Alex, a 12-year-old boy from East Longmeadow, Mass., had spent the last two seasons as an avid supporter of the Pride amidst his long and courageous battle with brain cancer.

Starting quarterback for the New England Patriots, Tom Brady, has some words of encouragement for Alex Blais, a Team IMPACT teammate of the Springfield College men's lacrosse team, during his courageous battle. Alex joined the Springfield College men's lacrosse team via Team IMPACT in the Spring of 2017 and has been battling a brain tumor. Alex, referred to as "A-Prime" among his new teammates, participates in team activities and is on the sideline for practices and games.
