Men's Swimming and Diving Keeps Pace At Middlebury Invitational

Middlebury, Vt. - January 28, 2017 - The Springfield College men's swimming and diving program faced off against teams from Williams, the University of Vermont, Tufts, and Middlebury in the 2016 Middlebury Invitational. 

 Vladimir Burnin (Leningrad Oblast, Russia) kicked off competition on Friday evening in the 1650 Free, where he posted a 18:16.23. 

On Saturday morning, Burnin competed in the 200 Free, where he touched the wall in 1:55.78. Burnin's last performance of the weekend came in the 500 Free, as he finished with a time of 5:16.51. 

On the diving boards, Nick Sullivan (Wrentham, Mass.) was the runner-up on the three-meter after posting a 344.15 and placed fourth on the one-meter with a 337.05. 

Springfield will next compete at home on Sunday, January 29 against Amherst College at 1:00pm.
