Hanover, N.H. – February 4, 2017 – The Springfield College men's track and field team competed in the Dartmouth Classic on Saturday, hosted by Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H.
The Pride turned in some impressive performances on the afternoon, including junior Jason Laramee (Great Barrington, Mass.), who claimed third place in the high jump with a leap of six feet, 4.25 inches. Senior Jake Buhelt (Falmouth, Maine) finished sixth in the 400 meter run, posting a time of 51.38 seconds, while freshman Erik King (Shrewsbury, Mass.) finished in the 500 meter top ten with a time of 1:08.65.
DeShaun Dias (Mashpee, Mass.) and Tyler Hansen (Shelton, Conn.) finished back-to-back in the 200 meter dash, as Dias finished with a time of 23.32 seconds, while Hansen crossed the line in 23.34 seconds.
Johnny O'Hanlon (Haworth, N.J.) also registered a time of 15:47.98 in the 5,000 meter run.
Springfield will compete in the Boston University Valentine's Invitational next Saturday on Feb. 11, in Boston, Mass.
