Medfield, Mass. - January 13, 2018 - Senior Jack Pinho (Prospect, Conn.) won the 800 meter run, leading the Springfield College men's track and field team at the Tufts Invitational on Saturday. The senior produced a time of 1:55.85 to take first overall.
Tyler Hansen (Shelton, Conn.) kicked things off with a seventh-place finish in the 60 meter dash, posting a time of 7.23 seconds, while in the 200 meter dash, the sophomore recorded a time of 23.19 seconds, good for eighth overall.
Damian Mackay-Morgan (Simsbury, Conn.) finished second in the 60 meter hurdle finals, as he crossed in 8.61 seconds, while in the field events, Kyle Kublbeck (Gardner, Mass.) took fourth in the high jump, clearing 6 feet, 4 inches, finishing just ahead of Connor Strain (Longmeadow, Mass.), who took fifth after clearing 6 feet, 2 inches. Wrapping up, freshman Josh Silvester (Manchester, Conn.) took second in the triple jump, posting a distance of 45 feet, 3.5 inches.
Up next, the Pride will return to the Springfield College Field House on Saturday, January 20 and host the Maroon and White Classic.
