Men's Cross Country Competes at the Connecticut College Invitational

Watertown, Conn. - October 17, 2015 - The Springfield College men's cross country team competed at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday on an 8K course.  

Coming across the finish line first for the Pride were Jack Pinho (Prospect, Conn.) and Johnny O'Hanlon (Haworth, N.J.). The two finished .1 second apart, as Pinho finished in 27:02.9 and O'Hanlon finished in 27:03.0. The two finished in 81st and 82nd place, respectively. 

Owen Ross (Closter, N.J.) came in next for the Pride in a time of 29:02.4 and in 152nd place, while Ben Malin (Easton, Mass.) crossed the line in 29:07.5 and in 155th place. Tyler Cronin (Melrose, Mass.) finished in a time of 30:30.3 and in 167th place. 

Springfield finished 23rd with 637 points. MIT won the invitational with 49 points, while Connecticut College finished second with 95 points and Careleton finished third with 106 points. 

Up next, the Pride will compete in two weeks at the NEWMAC Championships on November 1st at Franklin Park.
