Men's Cross Country Runs To 15th-Place Finish at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

North Dartmouth, Mass. - September 17, 2016 - The Springfield College men's cross country team competed in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday afternoon and placed 15 out of 33 teams in the field.

Jack Pinho (Prospect, Conn.) had a strong showing for Springfield and was the Pride's fastest runner on the day as he clocked in at 26:45.09 to finish 46th out of the 242 runners in the race.

Owen Ross (Closter, N.J.) was Springfield's next finisher with a time of 27:08.67, while  Tyler Cronin (Melrose, Mass.) continued to impress as he finished the 8k course in 27:38.50. Ben Malin (North Easton, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 28:01.05 and Chris Tringali (Millville, Mass.) rounded out the Pride's top five as he ran a 28:36.84.

The Pride will race again Saturday, Sept. 24h at the Purple Valley Classic in Williamstown, Mass.
