Westfield, Mass. - October 8, 2016 - The Springfield College men's cross country team put together a great showing at 2016 James Earley Invitational held at Westfield State University on Saturday afternoon.
Out of a 41-team field, Springfield finished 12th, totaling 370 points on the day, as they competed on the course where the NCAA Division III New England Regional Champoinships will be held in a few weeks.
Johnny O'Hanlon (Haworth, N.J.) returned to the Springfield lineup and was the 24th-fastest runner out of the more than 400 competitors in the race as he ran the 8k course in a time of 26:24.86.
Teammate Jack Pinho (Prospect, Conn.) crossed the finish line in 26:46.25 for 39th overall, while Owen Ross (Closter, N.J.) clocked in at 27:36.14. Sophomore Tyler Cronin (Melrose, Mass.) delivered a time of 28:00.99 for Springfield, while Zack Guptill (New Canaan, Conn.) rounded out the Pride's top five-runners with a 28:25.85.
The Pride will next run at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 15.
