Talia Loda will return to the Springfield College softball program during the 2018-19 season as a graduate assistant coach for the Diane L. Potter '57 Head Softball Coach at Springfield College, Kate Bowen. Loda will be assisting with day-to-day operations of the softball program, including practice planning and recruiting.

Loda, who recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Exercise Science in May of 2018, will also be working towards her Master's degree in Physical Education. Loda, the 2017 NEWMAC Softball Pitcher of the Year, had quite the career for the Pride, as she finished her time on Alden Street with an overall record of 52-29. As a senior, the East Haven, Conn. native produced an overall record of 14-6 and eclipsed the 300-career strikeout plateau, while also registering an earned-run average of 1.30 in 2018. Loda also notched 99 strikeouts her senior year, while holding opponents to a batting average of .203. Also contributing at the plate, Loda had a batting average of .330, picking up 29 hits in 88 at bats while scoring 16 runs and driving in eight.
