Corsano Named NEWMAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

Boston, Mass. - Februray 27, 2017 - Springfield College's Shelby Corsano (Bourne, Mass.) has been recognized for her impressive performance this past weekend, as the junior was named New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, announced on Monday morning.

Corsano, who broke the Springfield College women's lacrosse program's single-season scoring record with 56 goals last season, picked up right where she left off, as she notched six points, including five goals and one assist in a 16-10 win over cross-town rival Western New England on Saturday afternoon. In addition to her six points, Corsano also secured seven draw controls, and picked up one ground ball in the victory.

Corsano, along with the rest of the Pride, will host Eastern Connecticut State University on Saturday, March 4 at 12 p.m.
