Madeia and Hitchcock Represent Women's Track and Field at Tufts National Qualifying Meet

Medford, Mass. - March 2, 2019 - Senior Kristen Madeia (Berlin, Conn.) and sophomore Caroline Hitchcock (Agawam, Mass.) took their final chance to qualify into the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday afternoon, as the duo represented the Springfield College women's track and field team at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet. 

Madeia competed in the 800 meter run and clocked in at 2:16.87, while Hitchcock took second overall in the high jump with a mark of 1.64 meters, but fell just shy of her career best mark of 1.65 meters, but finished second overall.
