Women's Cross Country Competes in Earley Invitational

Westfield, Mass. - October 8, 2016 - The Springfield College women's cross country team finished 22nd out of 41 teams competiting in the James Earley Invitational at Westfield State University on Saturday. 

Racing on the course where the NCAA Division III Regional Championships will be run in a few weeks, the Pride's Marie Harrington (Limerick, Maine) was the first of her teammates to cross the finish line after posting a 5k time of 24:05.12.

Kristen Madeia (Berlin, Conn.) was the Pride's next fastest runner with a 25:07.90, closely followed by Rachael Seymour's (Red Hook, N.Y.) time of 25:17.31.

Hannah Wunderlich (Methuen, Mass.) clocked in at 25:37.70 and Julia Maturo (Seymour, Conn.) produced Springfield's fifth-fastest time of the race with a 25:43.39. 

The Pride will next run at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 15.
