Women's Cross Country Competes at Connecticut College Invitational

Waterford, Conn. - October 15, 2016 - The Springfield College women's cross country team finished 17th out of 21 teams competiting at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Harkness Memorial State Park. 

The Pride totaled 454 points on the afternoon, racing on the 6k course.

Senior Marie Harrington (Limerick, Maine) was the Pride's top runner on the day, as she finished first on the team with a time of 23:32.0, while Sarah Skillin (Fall River, Mass.) took second on the team when she crossed in 24:37.0.

Next, Emily Giardino (Bellingham, Mass.) and Chelsea Dubin (Holliston, Mass.) both crossed the finish line in 25:07, while Kristen Madeia (Berlin, Conn.) was just behind with a time of 25:08.3.

The Pride will now prepare to compete in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC)  Saturday, Oct. 29.
