    Colorado Springs, Colo - May 6, 2015 - The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and EAS Sports Nutrition are proud to announce that Nicole Fowler (Maynard, Mass.) of the women's soccer team and Mike Dublin (Portsmouth, R.I.) of the football program have received the 2015 All-American Athlete Award. This award recognizes the pair's athletic accomplishments and their dedication to strength and conditioning. Nominated by Dr. Brian Thompson, the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Springfield College, Fowler and Dublin's determination to improve in athletics while maintaining academic prominence is a great model for all student-athletes at Springfield College.

  • Football To Join The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference In 2017

    Boston, Mass. - April 8, 2015 - The Springfield College football program will begin playing in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) starting in 2017. Conference members, the United States Coast Guard Academy, Springfield, and WPI will be joined by Maine Maritime Academy, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, and Norwich University, who enter the NEWMAC as associate members in 2017. Football becomes the 20th conference championship and the league's ninth men's offering.
