Springfield, Mass. - September 5, 2017 - Springfield College's Jake Eglintine (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) was selected as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Football Offensive Player of the Week after a standout performance for the Pride last Saturday.
The Applied Exercise Science Major led Springfield to a win over nationally-ranked Western New England in the annual Pynchon SAW game as the senior quarterback rushed for 121 yards, averaging 6.4 yards per carry, while finding the end zone three times. He also completed 4-of-8 passes for 53 yards and directed a Springfield offense that was on the field for over 40 minutes.
