Springfield, Mass. - December 18, 2017 - Springfield College's Jordan Wilcox (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) was chosen to the Associated Press (AP) Little All-America Division III football team, as well as the D3football.com All-America team following a sensational senior season.
The senior fullback was named to The Associated Press Little All-America Second Team and becomes just the second Springfield College football player to ever earn the AP Little All-America honor, joining Max Nacewicz, who garnered the honor in 2015. Additionally, Wilcox was selected to the D3football.com All-America Third Team and is seventh Springfield College student-athlete to earn the recognition, and the first since Nacewicz was tabbed a third-team honoree in 2015.
Wilcox was the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Offensive Player of the Year and helped lead the Pride to a 10-0 undefeated regular season and the inaugural NEWMAC Championship. The Finance major was named a CoSIDA Academic Second Team All-America selection with a 3.56 grade point average and was previously recognized on the national stage as one of four national finalists for the 2017 Gagliardi National Player of the Year Trophy. He finished his senior season ranking in the top five nationally in rushing yards (1,786), yards per game (162.4) and total touchdowns (23), while also leading the nation with yards per rush (7.83).
