Amherst, Mass. - March 23, 2018 - Springfield College's Jordan Wilcox (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) was one of nearly two dozen players to participate in drills on Thursday at UMass' annual pro day event, which was held at the UMass Football Performance Center.
Representatives from number of NFL teams were in attendance, as regional scouts help lead drills on the field. Student-athletes from UMass, Bentley, American International, Amherst, and Stonehill joined Wilcox as they showcased their talent in front of scouts from the New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, New York Giants, Washington Redskins, Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Browns.
Wilcox was an Associated Press Little All-America Second Team and D3football.com All-America Third Team selection this season, as well as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Offensive Player of the Year. While powering Springfield to a 10-0 undefeated regular season and the inaugural NEWMAC Championship, the Finance major was a CoSIDA Academic Second Team All-America honoree and one of four national finalists for the 2017 Gagliardi National Player of the Year Trophy. He finished his senior season ranking in the top five nationally in rushing yards (1,786), yards per game (162.4) and total touchdowns (23), while also leading the nation with yards per rush (7.83).
