Frank Earns Second NEWMAC Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week Honor

Springfield, Mass. - September 17, 2018 - Springfield College's Stewart Frank (Pittsford, N.Y.) was recognized for his impressive play for the men's soccer team on Saturday, as the senior goalkeeper was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Defensive Athlete of the Week. This marks the second time this season that Frank has collected weekly honors.

Frank, a senior Sport Management major at Springfield College, was instrumental in the Pride picking up its first NEWMAC win of the season, as he made four stops in a 1-0 double overtime win over Coast Guard on Saturday afternoon. Frank, who played all 105:44 of the contest, made two saves in the first half, two in the second, and kept the Bears at bay for the overtime periods.

The Pride will resume action on Tuesday, September 18 as Springfield College travels to Gordon for a 4 p.m. contest with the Fighting Scots.
