Greensboro, N.C. - March 18, 2016 - Springfield College's Michael Normoyle (Springfield, Mass.) competed in his first event of the 2016 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center on Friday morning.
Racing in the 100 breast, Normoyle entered the competition seeded 16th of out 36 swimmers with a qualifying time of 55.94. Going in the final heat of the prelims, the Biology major touched in 56.17, just missing the consolation finals as he finished 18th overall.
Normoyle will race again on Saturday when he competes in the 200 breast, an event in which he is seeded 14th with a qualifying time of 2:02.28.
