Greensboro, N.C. - March 19, 2016 - Springfield College senior Michael Normoyle (Springfield, Mass.) concluded his incredible collegiate career swimming the 200 breast at the 2016 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday morning at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
Normoyle qualified for the national event after he won the event at the New England Women's and Men's Atheltic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship for the fourth-straight season with a time of 2:02.28.
Racing in the prelims on Saturday morning as the 14th-seed, Normoyle registered a time of 2:03.32 to finish 19th out of the 36 competitors.
Normoyle, a Biology major, will leave Springfield College as one of the top swimmers in program history as he owns school records in the 100 breast, 200 breast, and 200 I.M. and is a member of the school record 400 medley squad.
