Springfield, Mass. - March 15, 2019 - Springfield College's Gracie Restituyo (Barrington, R.I.) will represent the women's basketball program in the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Senior All-Star Classic, which will be hosted in Blake Arena on March 23.
Restituyo, a senior Sports Biology major and forward for the Pride, will be playing for the away team, and will be joined by four other student-athletes from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference, including Kennedy Guest-Pritchett and Lauren Bondi from Smith, Taylor V'Dovec from MIT and Charlie Boyle from Emerson.
Restituyo was a force down low for the Pride in the 2018-19 season. The Barrington, R.I. native averaged 11.4 points and 9.6 rebounds, averaging 26.5 minutes in all 28 games for the maroon and white. Restituyo recorded 12 double doubles on the season, including seven-consecutive double doubles, resulting in a 6-1 record for Springfield College in that span. Against Emerson on January 26, Restituyo came within two rebounds of the program's single-season record as she hauled in 22 rebounds in a 52-43 victory over the Lions.
