Springfield, Mass. - April 15, 2019 - Springfield College Director of Athletics, Dr. Craig Poisson, is pleased to announce that Jill Serafino has been named the full-time assistant women's soccer coach at Springfield College.
"Jill will bring great knowledge, passion and experience to her new role as the full-time assistant coach of our women's soccer program," said Poisson. "Coach Serafino's experience as a head coach at the Division III level, combined with her two stints as a graduate assistant under head coach Dr. John Gibson, will allow her to help reinforce the championship culture of our women's soccer program here on Alden Street."
Outside of the collegiate landscape, Serafino has also been a head coach and is the currect General Manager for the New England Mutiny in the United Women's Soccer league, as well as a youth head coach at various premier clubs in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Serafino currently holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in school counseling, as well as an M. Ed in Athletic Counseling, both from Springfield College. Serafino also earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychophysiology and Fitness Management from the University of Massachusetts.
