Jack Diefenderfer of the men's golf team has been chosen as a Springfield College Maroon Club Student-Athlete of the Week.

Diefenderfer had a strong showing at the NEIGA Championships in helping Springfield finish 11th at the regional event. Among the 102 golfers in the field, Diefenderfer finished tied for 19th. After firing an opening-round score of 75, he tallied a 79 on Sunday and completed the weekend with 19 pars and six birdies.
