Christian Butler of the men's diving program has been named the Springfield College Maroon Club Student-Athlete of the Week.

In his NEWMAC Championships debut, Butler was tremendous as he swept the diving competition. He opened the weekend by claiming gold on the 3-meter board with a score of 530.65, which was over 100 points ahead of the second place finisher. Butler later took first on the one-meter with a mark of 527.40 points, which was 125 points higher than the second place finisher. For his efforts, he was tabbed the NEWMAC Diver of the Year.
