Carissa Pecchia of the softball team has been named the Springfield College Maroon Club Student-Athlete of the Week.

In helping Springfield to an 8-2 start to the season during their trip to Florida, Pecchia batted a team best .548 as she totaled 17 hits, including a home run and two doubles, drove in seven runs, and scored six times. She also drew five walks to boost her on-base percentage to .611
