Emily Whelan of the softball team has been named the Springfield College Maroon Club Student-Athlete of the Week.

The graduate student powered the Pride to a 3-1 week, including a sweep of nationally-ranked MIT to push Springfield's record to 19-4-1, including an 8-2 mark in conference play. She posted five hits and added two sacrifice hits in doubleheaders against MIT and WPI.
