Williamstown, Mass. – January 24, 2009 – The Springfied College women’s swimming and diving team traveled to Williams on Saturday and lost, 192-106. It was the first dual meet loss for the Pride since November 15, 2008 when it fell to the University of Rhode Island.
The Pride’s lone individual win in the swimming events came as Moira Price won the 50 free in 25.37. Price also finished second in the 200 breast (2:30.94) and the 100 back (1:03.21).
The other individual win for the Pride came on the one-meter diving board as Meghan Kijanka scored a 277.73, good enough for first.
In the loss, Meghan Feran touched second for Springfield in the 1000 free in 11:11.23, while Aimee Doe finished second in the 100 fly in 1:02.25.
The Pride return to action on February 7th when it hosts Amherst in Springfield’s final home dual meet of the season.
