Biography

2015-16: Started at safety in all 10 games for Springfield College during his junior season ... produced 21 tackles and four pass break-ups on the year... had a standout performance against Union (10/3), notching six tackles, two pass break-ups, and a game-saving interception.

2014-15: Played in all 10 games for the Pride... Was sixth on the team with 49 tackles including 30 unassisted and 19 assisted... Had a career high 10 tackles and one tackle for loss against cross-town rival Western New England.

2013-14: Saw action the ECAC  North Atlantic Bowl Championship game against Norwich, where he had one tackle.

High School: Played four years while earning three letters at wide receiver and safety at Middletown High School under the direction of Coach Joe Trezza... Also participated in track.

Personal: Son of Colleen and Christopher Welsh... Majoring in Sports Biology.
