Callahan, Hutra, and Smith Sweep NEWMAC Football Weekly Honors

Springfield, Mass. - October 21, 2019 - After helping the Springfield College defeat Merchant Marine on Saturday, three members of the football program were recognized by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).  Tim Callahan (Enfield, Conn.) was named the NEWMAC Offensive Athlete of the Week, Christian Hutra (Holmes, N.Y.) was tabbed the NEWMAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week, and AJ Smith (Rahway, N.J.) was chosen as the NEWMAC Defensive Athlete of the Week. 

Football Runs Past Merchant Marine, 45-34

Kings Point, N.Y. - October 19, 2019 - The Springfield College football team scored a season-high 45 points as it rolled past Merchant Marine, 45-34, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) on Saturday at Brooks Stadium. In defeat, the Mariners drop to 4-2 (3-1 NEWMAC) on the season, while the Pride won for the third-straight game to improve to 4-3 (3-1 NEWMAC) with the victory.

Springfield, Mass. - October 5, 2019 - The Springfield College football team rushed for 404 yards and had the ball on offense for over 45 minutes as it delivered a 21-17 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) victory over Norwich on Saturday at Stagg Field.
