Jeff Gordon

Jeff Gordon will enter his fourth season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Pride during the 2020 season and will assist head coach Mike Cerasuolo with the defense. Gordon also performs a host of other duties in the area of Football Research and Special Projects.
 
In 2017, Gordon assisted graduate assistant coach Jared Livingston with the halfback unit during the Pride's historic 10-0 regular season, resulting in Springfield College winning the inaugural New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship. Prior to arriving at Springfield College, Gordon was a high school assistant coach in Western Massachusetts for seventeen years.
 
Gordon coached for seven years as the running backs and secondary coach at Minnechaug Regional High School in Wilbraham, Mass.  The Falcons earned 4 post season appearances in his time there. Prior to coaching at Minnechaug, Gordon was an assistant for Westfield High School under head coach Bo Reardon.  
 
In the 2002 season, Gordon was the halfbacks / secondary coach under head coach Bill Moore. He served under Coach Moore at Westfield for nine seasons. Three games into the 2005 season, Gordon was named offensive coordinator.  The Bombers' triple option offense averaged over 30 points per game and was one of the leading rushing offenses in the area during his five years at that position while appearing in 1AA Super Bowls following the 2007 and 2008 seasons.
 
Gordon retired in 2017 after a 22-year career as a Massachusetts State Trooper, with assignments throughout Western Massachusetts.  He was last assigned to SP Springfield and the Massachusetts State Police C3 Team, a highly successful anti-gang initiative that works closely with the Springfield Police Department.
