Mike Miller '08 G'12 will enter his tenth year as the head coach of the men's and women's track and field programs at Springfield College during the 2025-26 academic year.
In the nine seasons that Miller has been the head track and field coach at Springfield College, 19 student-athletes have earned 22 All-America honors, including two-time All-Americans Courtney Luscier, Jack Pinho, and Caroline Hitchcock.
During the 2018-19 season, the Pride had a total of 10 student-athletes qualify to compete in the NCAA Division III Championship meets.
Since 2015, Miller was an assistant coach at Central Connecticut State University, where he focused on the pole vault and throwing events, which resulted in school records in both the men's pole vault and women's weight throw along with contributing to a Northeast Conference Championship for outdoor track.
Miller previously spent three years as an assistant coach at Amherst College, where he was charged with working with the sprinters, hurdlers, jumper and throwing events. As a member of the coaching staff, Miller helped Amherst capture the 2015 ECAC Indoor Championships as well as own the third-best team grade point average in the all of Division III track & field.
Miller spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Springfield College from 2010-12 and benefited from the guidance of longtime Springfield College head coach, Ken Klatka. While on staff, Miller aided in the planning of both the Division III New England Indoor Championships and the ECAC Outdoor Championships, while coaching a national qualifier for Springfield in the javelin.
A 2008 graduate of Springfield College, Miller earned a degree in Business Management, and later completed his Master's degree in Advanced Level Coaching in 2012. During his time as a student-athlete at Springfield, Miller was a standout on the track & field team, qualifying for NCAA Championships as a decathlete in 2005, 2007, and 2008. He was also a two-time New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) champion in the high jump and won the ECAC Division III Championship in the decathlon twice.
