Alexis Castro returns to the Springfield College women’s basketball program as a graduate assistant for the 2024-25 campaign. A native of San Diego, Castro is working on her Master’s degree in Athletic Leadership.
As a student athlete at the University of Vermont, Castro was a force for the women’s basketball program as she was named to the America East All-Rookie Team and America East First Team All-Conference teams, respectively. Castro continued her dominance on the hardwood at American International College, being named as the Daktronics Player of the Year in her senior season, All-Northeast Region Team twice, Northeast-10 First Team All-Conference and NCAA Division II All-America Second Team. Castro continued her playing career overseas to play professional basketball in Finland, Portugal, Spain, France, Monaco and for the Mexican National Team, before returning to AIC, to earn her degree Athletic Administration and Leadership with minors in Communication & Sport and Recreation Management.
