Springfield College

Miriam Esber was named the Springfield College Assistant Athletic Director for Recruiting & Retention and Student-Athlete Leadership Development in September of 2023.

Esber comes to Alden Street after previously serving as the Graduate Admissions and Enrollment Coordinator for the School of Public Health and Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Esber also has familiarity with the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) as she spent 15 seasons at the helm of the Mount Holyoke lacrosse program where she earned NEWMAC Coach of the Year honors in 2010 and 2013. While at Mount Holyoke, Esber also spent time as the Interim Chair of Physical Education and Athletics as well as a senior lecturer in physical education and athletics.

Prior to her time at Mount Holyoke, Esber spent three seasons as the head women's lacrosse coach at Hartwick College and as an assistant lacrosse and field hockey coach at Endicott College.

Esber graduated from the College of Wooster with a Bachelor's in Sport and Society and earned her Master's in Exercise and Sport Science from Ithaca College.
