During the 2024 season, Keene helped Springfield to its fourth-straight NEWMAC title and assisted in its run in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament, where the team made it all the way to the quarterfinals to cap off a historic season.

In his first season with the Pride in 2023, Keene was a member of the NEWMAC Coaching Staff of the Year as he helped Springfield win its third-straight conference title.

Keene returns to Alden Street after most recently serving as the special teams coordinator, secondary coach, and recruiting coordinator at St. Olaf College in Minnesota.

Prior to his time at St. Olaf, Keene had two coaching stints in Georgia, at both New Hampstead High School and Savannah Country Day School, where he also had roles as a teacher and in admissions.  Following his time at Springfield College, Keene worked at Yale University where he was a defensive quality control coach. A native of Auburn, Maine, Keene has previously spent time on the Bates College football coaching staff, was a teacher and coach at Edward Little High School, and was a teacher at JLee Preparatory Academy in South Korea.
