Springfield College

Shane Erb is in his first year as a graduate assistant coach working with the Springfield College cross country team and the middle distance/distance student-athletes during the track & field seasons in the 2026-27 school year. 

The Marion, Iowa native ran cross country and track & field at Wartburg College where he helped the team qualify for the 2023 and 2024 NCAA Division III Cross Country National Championships where they placed fifth and second as a team, respectively. Erb competed on the Springfield College men's track & field team during the 2025-26 season and was the runner-up on the 3000m steeplechase at the NEWMAC Championships. 

Erb was graduated from Wartburg in 2025 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and is in his second year working on a master's degree in sport & exercise psychology at Springfield.
